Eucalyptus oil global production is dominated by Eucalyptus globulus. China exports the most around the world.
It has about 80% cineole content.
Appearance: colourless to pale yellow liquid.
Eucalyptus oil has a wide range of applications:
pharmaceutical preparations – to relieve the symptoms of influenza and cold
flavouring substance – used at low levels in baked goods and confectionery
fragrance substance – used in soaps and detergents
hand and household cleaners – due to their antimicrobial properties
